To use WeekendWander, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or using the platform under verified parental / legal guardian supervision.
• Be legally capable of entering into binding agreements under applicable law.
• Not be barred from receiving services under any applicable law or regulation.
• Provide accurate, truthful, and current registration information.

We may request age verification documents for group bookings that involve physically demanding or high-altitude activities.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete name, email, phone number, and gender information.
• Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with anyone.
• Take full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
• Immediately notify us at hello@weekendwander.in if you suspect unauthorised access.

WeekendWander is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to keep your account secure. We reserve the right to disable or delete accounts at our discretion.

WeekendWander enables users to join curated travel groups — including Male, Female, LGBTQ+, and all-inclusive groups — for weekend adventures and getaways.

You may:

• Join up to 2 groups per destination (your gender group + the Everyone group).
• Participate in group chats and destination discussions.
• Share travel experiences, photos, and feedback within groups.

You may not:

• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other group members.
• Share offensive, explicit, defamatory, or discriminatory content in group chats.
• Spam group channels or distribute unsolicited promotional material.
• Impersonate other users, platform staff, or agency representatives.
• Share personal contact details of other users without their explicit consent.
• Use group chats to promote illegal activities or off-platform transactions.

We actively moderate group activity. Violations may result in immediate removal from groups and account suspension.

You agree that:

• You have assessed your own physical fitness and health condition before joining any adventure trip.
• You will consult a qualified medical professional if you have any pre-existing health conditions such as heart disease, respiratory conditions, or joint problems.
• You will follow all safety instructions provided by the agency, guide, or group leader at all times.
• You will carry appropriate gear including proper footwear, warm clothing, first aid kit, and sufficient water and food as recommended.
• You will not attempt trails or routes beyond your assessed ability level.
• You understand that weather conditions in hill stations, forests, and coastal areas can change rapidly and unpredictably.
• You accept full personal responsibility for your safety during any adventure activity.

WeekendWander does not conduct the tours — we facilitate discovery and group coordination. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive personal travel insurance covering accidents, medical emergencies, and evacuation before undertaking any high-risk destination.

Travel agencies and staycation providers who partner with WeekendWander must:

• Register and be approved by the WeekendWander admin team before listing destinations or packages.
• Provide accurate, up-to-date, and truthful information about their offerings — including pricing, inclusions, exclusions, capacity, and pickup points.
• Upload only genuine photographs of the actual destinations and accommodations.
• Honour confirmed bookings and communicate promptly with travellers regarding changes or cancellations.
• Maintain valid licences, permits, and insurance required by law for operating in their respective locations.
• Comply with all applicable safety standards and government regulations for adventure tours.

Agencies and providers are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings. WeekendWander reserves the right to remove listings, suspend accounts, or terminate partnerships for violations.

WeekendWander operates as a travel discovery and marketplace platform. We curate and list destinations created by our admin team and verified partner agencies.

We do not guarantee:

• The availability or accessibility of any listed destination at any given time.
• The accuracy of third-party descriptions, pricing, or availability provided by agencies.
• The quality, safety, or suitability of services provided by travel agencies or staycation providers.
• Road, weather, or environmental conditions at any destination.

Users are strongly encouraged to independently verify all details — including road access, weather forecasts, permit requirements, and agency credentials — before confirming any booking or trip.

All payments on WeekendWander are securely processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. By making a payment, you agree that:

• You authorise WeekendWander and Razorpay to charge the applicable amount to your selected payment method.
• All applicable prices, taxes, and charges will be displayed before you confirm payment.
• WeekendWander does not store your card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account credentials on its servers.
• A platform commission (currently 10%) may apply to bookings made through travel agencies.
• Payment disputes are subject to Razorpay's dispute resolution policies and applicable Indian law.

In case of payment failures or duplicate charges, contact us at hello@weekendwander.in within 7 days with your transaction ID.

Cancellation and refund policies vary by package and provider. Before confirming a booking, please review the specific cancellation terms listed by the agency or staycation provider.

General guidelines:

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before the trip date may be eligible for a partial or full refund, subject to the provider's policy.
• Cancellations within 48 hours of the trip date are generally non-refundable.
• Platform service fees, if applicable, are non-refundable.
• In cases of cancellation due to natural calamities, government orders, or force majeure events, WeekendWander will work with providers to facilitate refunds or rescheduling.
• Refund timelines depend on your payment method and may take 5–10 business days.

You retain ownership of content you create and upload on WeekendWander, including profile photos, destination photos, and group chat messages.

By uploading content, you grant WeekendWander a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to:

• Display and store your content within the platform.
• Use destination photographs for platform promotion and marketing across digital channels.
• Process and adapt content for platform functionality and performance.

You must only upload content you own or have full rights to use. You must not upload copyrighted material, content featuring identifiable individuals without consent, or illegal content.

All WeekendWander brand assets, platform design, software, and codebase are the exclusive intellectual property of WeekendWander and may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without written permission.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on WeekendWander:

• Creating fake accounts, impersonating others, or providing false information.
• Attempting to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the platform without authorisation.
• Attempting to compromise platform security, servers, or infrastructure.
• Using the platform for money laundering, fraudulent transactions, or illegal financial activity.
• Listing fictitious destinations, fake packages, or fraudulent staycation properties.
• Sharing explicit, pornographic, or harmful content anywhere on the platform.
• Coordinating off-platform financial transactions to avoid commissions.
• Promoting competing services or redirecting users to third-party booking platforms.
• Uploading malware, viruses, or any harmful code.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WeekendWander shall not be liable for:

• Personal injury, accident, illness, or death during any travel activity.
• Loss or theft of personal property during trips.
• Delays, cancellations, or changes by travel agencies or staycation providers.
• Inaccurate information provided by third-party agencies or providers.
• Force majeure events including natural disasters, floods, landslides, government orders, or pandemics.
• Technical outages, platform downtime, or data loss beyond our reasonable control.
• Actions or misconduct of other users within group chats or travel groups.

In all cases, our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to WeekendWander in the 30 days preceding the claim.

We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account — with or without prior notice — if you:

• Violate any provision of these Terms and Conditions.
• Engage in harassment, abuse, or harmful behaviour towards other users.
• Upload fraudulent, illegal, or misleading content or listings.
• Attempt payment fraud, chargebacks without merit, or financial misconduct.
• Misuse platform features or attempt to circumvent platform rules.

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon deletion, your public content may be removed, though certain transaction records and legal data may be retained as required by law.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to the use of WeekendWander shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
